You can install laravel 5.5 with the help of composer by following below simple steps,

Step 1: Server Requirements :

Step 2: Install Composer :

Before we download and install Composer, we need to make sure our server has all dependencies installed.

First, update the package manager cache by running:

Now, let’s install the dependencies. We’ll need curl in order to download Composer and php7.0-cli for installing and running it.

Everything can be installed with the following command:

You can now proceed to the next step.

 Composer installation is really simple and can be done with a single command:

This will download and install Composer as a system-wide command named composer,

Under /usr/local/bin. The output should look like this:

To test your installation, run:

And you should get output similar to this:

This means Composer was succesfully installed on your system.

Step 3: Install Laravel 5.5 :

After installing composer, Create one directory by typing mkdir example,

After creating directory type command in your terminal,

And then type command to install Laravel by issuing the Composer create-project command in your terminal:

After this, just run the laravel server. Enjoy !!!
